2026年5月15日，德国国家科学院院士、哥廷根大学医疗中心心脑中心创始主任、神经内科主任Bähr第二次来到无锡市人民医院开启国际客座教授工作。上午，Bähr教授参观了无锡市人民医院脑机接口临床研究病房，充分肯定医院目前在脑机接口领域所开展的工作，并提出指导意见。他希望未来双方能够开展联合临床研究项目，进一步推动脑机接口技术的临床转化。下午，Bähr教授参加无锡市卫生健康高质量发展大会，并为无锡市脑机接口医疗创新研究中心揭牌。他表示，希望未来进一步深化与无锡市人民医院以及无锡医疗系统的交流与合作。今年，也是Bähr教授在哥廷根大学医疗中心任职25周年。25年来，他长期执掌德国最大的神经内科之一，在德国神经科学领域留下了深远影响。在他的推动下，哥廷根大学医疗中心成功入选德国神经退行性疾病中心十大基地之一；他同时参与建立了神经免疫学与多发性硬化症研究所，以及哥廷根大学医学中心实验性神经退行性疾病科。此外，他还共同发起并创立了德国第一个心脑中心。如今，该中心已经成为德国神经内科与心内科交叉研究的重要平台。25年来，Bähr教授的研究方向也从分子神经生物学逐步走向系统医学，持续探索心脏与大脑之间复杂的相互作用机制。他的团队拥有近250名医生与科研人员，多年来学术成果始终位居德国前列。2026年4月17日，哥廷根大学医疗中心专门为Bähr教授举办入职25周年纪念仪式。仪式上，他曾经的学生汉堡大学埃彭多夫医院首席执行官 Gerloff教授发表致辞。Gerloff教授在讲话中也特别提到，Bähr教授与中国的交流合作已经持续近40年，希望未来与中国在科研及人才培养方面开展更深层次合作。

On May 15, 2026, Prof. Bähr, a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, founding director of the Heart & Brain Center and Chairman of the Department of Neurology at the University Medical Center Göttingen, visited Wuxi People’s Hospital for the second time as an international visiting professor. In the morning, Prof. Bähr visited the Brain-Computer Interface Clinical Research Ward of Wuxi People’s Hospital. He acknowledged the hospital’s current achievements in the field of brain-computer interface research and provided valuable guidance for further development. He also expressed his hope to establish joint clinical research projects in the future to further accelerate the clinical translation of brain-computer interface technologies. In the afternoon, Prof. Bähr attended the Wuxi Conference on High-Quality Healthcare Development and participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Wuxi Brain-Computer Interface Medical Innovation Research Center. During his speech, Prof. Bähr stated that he hopes to further deepen the cooperation and academic exchange with Wuxi People’s Hospital and the wider medical community in Wuxi. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Prof. Bähr’s appointment at the University Medical Center Göttingen. Over the past 25 years, he has led one of the largest departments of neurology in Germany and made profound contributions to German neuroscience. Under his leadership, Göttingen successfully became one of the ten sites of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). He also played a key role in establishing the Institute for Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis as well as the Department of Experimental Neurodegeneration at the University Medical Center Göttingen. In addition, he co-founded Germany’s first Heart & Brain Center, which has now become an important platform for interdisciplinary research between neurology and cardiology. During the past 25 years, Prof. Bähr’s research has gradually expanded from molecular neurobiology to systems medicine, continuously exploring the complex interactions between the heart and the brain. His team consists of nearly 250 physicians and researchers, and their scientific achievements have remained among the leading groups in Germany for many years. On April 17, 2026, the University Medical Center Göttingen held a special ceremony celebrating Prof. Bähr’s 25 years of service. During the event, Prof. Gerloff, CEO of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, one of the former students of Prof. Bähr, gave a speech. In his speech, Prof. Gerloff especially highlighted that Prof. Bähr has been engaged in academic exchange and collaboration with China for nearly 40 years, and that he even envisions deeper cooperation in research and talent training in the future.
