万里赴德志报国

截止3月9日，将于2023年6月硕士毕业的多位医生申请国家公派留学CSC奖学金所需材料已经全部准备好了。广州刘医生的导师是德国国家科学院370年来第一位也是唯一的一位泌尿外科院士，慕尼黑大学附属医院Stief院长。衡阳周医生的导师是德国国家科学院院士，哥廷根大学医疗中心心脑中心主任Bähr教授。上海刘医生的导师是欧洲整形外科学会主席，慕尼黑大学附属医院整形外科主任Giunta教授，希望中国越来越多优秀的医生有机会到德国攻读临床医学博士，回国之后可以更好报效祖国。“如果我有千条生命，必定每一条都要留给中国”。这是湘雅医学院的创始人颜福庆对祖国的誓言。他是全亚洲第一个耶鲁医学博士。他拒绝美国的高薪，毅然绝然地回到战火纷飞的祖国，创立了湘雅医学院，这里走出了中国最夺目的医学人才，他们占领了中国医学事业的半壁江山。如果颜福庆地下有知，中国现在应该有更多颜福庆式的医生。

As of March 9, all the necessary documents for doctors who will get their master’s degree in June 2023 to apply for scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC) have been prepared. The doctoral supervisor of Dr. Liu from Guangzhou is Prof. Dr. med. Christian Stief, the first and only urologist of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and Director of Department of Urology at the University Hospital Munich. The doctoral supervisor of Dr. Zhou from Hengyang is Prof. Dr. med. Mathias Bähr, member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and Director of the Department of Neurology at University Medical Center of Göttingen. The doctoral supervisor of Dr. Liu from Shanghai is Prof. Dr. med. Riccardo Giunta, President of the European Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS) and Director of the Department of Hand Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery at University Hospital Munich. I hope more and more great doctors will have chance to study for German MD Degree, so that they can better serve the motherland after returning to China. “Even if I have a thousand lives, I am ready to dedicate them all to my motherland”This is the oath of Yan Fuqing, the founder of Xiangya Medical School, to our motherland. At Yale University, he was the first Asian to get a doctoral degree in medicine. He had declined the well-paid offer from the U.S., resolutely returned to the war-torn motherland, and founded Xiangya Medical School, which is the cradle of the most prestigious talents in healthcare. They are the mainstays of the healthcare in China. There should be more doctors like Yan Fuqing in China now.
