Doctors have professional beliefs

我2004年第一次到德国，这么多年走访了全德国近60家医院，与上百位世界著名关键学术领袖成为工作合作伙伴和一生的挚友。德国大城小镇的医疗水平相差不大，医生护士非常职业化，他们把病人放在了至关重要的位置，因为这是他们的职业信仰，大医院的著名医生也不会看不起小医院的普通医生，他们一定会相互尊重，如果你去医院办事医护人员都会给予帮助，因为这是专业职业的一部分，他们绝对不会因为有好处才去做某些事情。只要是他职业范围，只要对医院有益，只要对病人有益，他们就一定会全力以赴。德国医院院长是服务医院各科室的角色，他们会非常尊重科主任的意见，给他们绝对的权力。德国院长在任职期间他们一定要努力做出成绩。我每次与德国医院院长见面，他们都会花至少一个小时与我开会，讨论工作细节。德国医院非常重视国际化合作，每家医院每年都会开国际会议，会请世界著名医生到医院定期工作，会请关键学术领袖做健康宣教，德国在二十多年前就开展了远程会诊，很多重大疑难病症是国际间相互合作完成的。他们把培养优秀医生作为医院永恒的事业。千言万语就汇成一句话：医生有职业信仰。

I came to Germany for the first time in 2004. Over the years, I visited nearly 60 hospitals across Germany, and became working partners and lifelong friends with hundreds of world-renowned experts. The medical care service level in big cities and small towns in Germany does not vary significantly. All doctors and nurses fully respect and act their professional beliefs, which they always put patients at the highest priority. Famous doctors in big hospitals will not look down on ordinary doctors in small hospitals. They will respect each other. If you go to the hospital for certain things, the staff will always be helpful in a professional way. As long as it is within the scope of his/her profession, as long as it is beneficial to the hospital, as long as it is good to the patient, they will definitely do their best. The German hospital presidents serve all the departments and will respect the opinions of the department heads and they are devoted to making more achievements during their period. Every time I meet with a German hospital president, they would spend at least one hour with me to have a detailed discussion. German hospitals attach great importance to international cooperation. Each hospital organizes international conferences every year, invites world-renowned experts to work regularly in the hospital, and invites key academic leaders to hold health care talks. German hospitals  conducted remote consultation more than 20 years ago and many major difficult diseases are completed through international cooperation. They regard cultivating excellent doctors as the eternal cause of the hospital. Thousands of words can be summed up in one sentence: Doctors have professional beliefs.
