绵阳市骨科医院成立于1989年，是政府举办的国家三级甲等中医骨伤专科医院，集医疗、教学、科研、康复与急救于一体，是国家卫健委骨科加速康复试点医院、国家骨科机器人应用中心绵阳分中心及国家骨科医学中心关节外科机器人临床应用联盟成员单位。该院上肢科（创伤骨科）为四川省中医重点专科，具备扎实的显微外科技术基础与综合诊疗能力，在上肢创伤修复与功能重建方面形成一定临床特色与区域优势。科室在保持临床能力持续提升的同时，注重对外交流与合作，积极参与国内外学术访问与技术交流，不断引进先进理念与技术，推动学科建设与临床水平的持续发展。绵阳市骨科医院今年已派出上肢外科副主任中医师周小平赴意大利博洛尼亚里佐利骨科研究所肩肘外科Dr. Enrico Guerra团队访学3个月（3月至6月），期间系统学习肩肘相关疾病的临床诊疗理念与技术路径，参与门诊及病房临床实践，与当地医疗团队就肩肘疾病的诊疗流程、手术策略及围手术期管理等方面进行深入交流，并全程观摩多台肩肘外科手术。通过持续推进高水平国际交流与合作，医院不断拓展学科发展的国际视野与学术边界。“走出去”开展访学与临床交流，不仅有助于直接对接国际先进的诊疗理念与技术体系，也为推动学科建设、优化临床路径及创新人才培养模式提供了重要支撑。此类深度合作能够进一步加强中外骨科医学领域的互学互鉴与协同发展，对提升医院整体医疗服务能力与学术影响力具有积极而深远的意义。
Founded in 1989, Mianyang Orthopedic Hospital is a government-run National Grade III Class A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) orthopedic specialty hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation, and emergency services. The hospital is designated as a National Orthopedic Enhanced Recovery Pilot Hospital by the National Health Commission of China, serves as the Mianyang Sub-center of the National Orthopedic Robot Application Center, and is a member of the Clinical Application Alliance for Joint Surgery Robots under the National Orthopedic Medical Center. The Department of Upper Extremity Surgery (Orthopaedic Trauma) is a Key Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialty of Sichuan Province. It has a solid foundation in microsurgical techniques and comprehensive diagnostic and treatment capabilities, and has developed clinical characteristics and regional strengths in the repair of upper extremity trauma and functional reconstruction. While continuously improving its clinical capabilities, the department also places great importance on external exchange and cooperation. It actively participates in domestic and international academic visits and technical exchanges, continuously introducing advanced concepts and techniques to support the ongoing development of the specialty and the continuous improvement of clinical practice. Earlier this year, Mianyang Orthopedic Hospital sponsored Dr. ZHOU, Xiaoping, Associate Chief TCM Physician from the Department of Upper Extremity Surgery, for a three-month clinical observership, from March to June with the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Team led by Dr. Enrico Guerra at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy. During the fellowship, Dr. ZHOU systematically studied contemporary clinical concepts and treatment pathways for shoulder and elbow disorders, participated in outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, engaged in in-depth discussions with the local medical team regarding diagnostic and treatment protocols, surgical strategies, and perioperative management of shoulder and elbow diseases, and observed multiple shoulder and elbow surgeries throughout the program. Through its continued commitment to high-level international exchange and collaboration, the hospital continues to broaden the international outlook of its specialty development and expand opportunities for academic engagement. Overseas academic training and clinical exchange programs not only facilitate direct access to internationally advanced medical concepts and technical systems, but also provide important support for specialty construction, optimization of clinical pathways, and innovation in talent cultivation. Such in-depth cooperation further strengthens academic and clinical exchange between Chinese and international orthopedic professionals and supports the continued advancement of the hospital’s clinical capabilities and academic profile.
