The Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society (DWG), the largest and most influential event in the field of spine in Europe, will grandly kick off in Nuremberg from December 9 to 11, 2026!
The Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society (DWG) will be chaired by Dr. Schnake, President and Conference Chairperson of DWG 2026. The meeting will also feature the presence of Prof. Mayer, a world-renowned master of minimally invasive spine surgery and the founding President of the German Spine Society(DWG). Together, they will leading the way in the global spine care.

The German Spine Society(DWG) was founded in Munich in 2006 and Prof. Mayer, a world-renowned master of minimally invasive spine surgery served as the first President of DWG that year. The DWG was established through the strategic merger of the Society for Spine Research(the oldest spine society in the world), and the German Society for Spine Surgery. As one of the leading academic organizations in the field of spine in Europe, the DWG brings together nearly 3,000 top experts from neurosurgery, trauma surgery, and orthopedics. It is dedicated to promoting the cutting-edge developments and international exchange in both conservative and surgical treatment to the spine.

In December 2026, Gloryren will lead a delegation of 30 spine surgeons from leading Grade III Class A hospitals in China to attend this meeting in Nuremberg, Germany.
A sub-venue for Sino-German Exchange on Spine Surgery will be set up during the meeting, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange in the future and latest advancements in spine surgery for the Chinese attendees and the world-renowned spine experts.
