On September 20^th, 2019, the 2^nd Sino-Euro International Orthopedics Summit 2019 will be held in the way of live surgery broadcasts by nine international celebrated orthopedic masters and eleven Chinese celebrated orthopedic experts in eight hospitals, which are respectively located in Shanghai and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), China. And this live broadcast will mark the record of the highest number of international orthopedic masters collaborating with Chinese orthopedic experts to operate live surgery at the same day.

01 Huashan Hospital of Fudan University

Foot and Ankle Surgery

Huashan Hospital of Fudan University was built in 1907. It is affiliated to National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China and Red Cross Society of China. Since 1992, it has been one of the National IIIA-Grade Hospitals passing the earliest evaluation. It was regarded as “National Civilized Unit”, being one of the most celebrated and the most international medical research institution. It is also the first public hospital which has the recognition JCI Standard and it is of high reputation in China and other countries.

Prof. Dr. med. Hartmut Stinus, Consultant at the University hospital for Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery in Göttingen, will cooperate with Prof. Xin Ma, Vice President of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, on a foot and ankle surgery in Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai. Cadaver surgery of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University is also of great feature and on Sept. 20th there will be an AO anatomy training class. Prof.Dr.med.Hartmut Stinus will have one or two surgical simulations, and the outcome will be promising and be a typical event of the Huashan Hospital of Fudan University.

02 Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine，which is also known as Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Second Clinical Medical College Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangdong Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangdong Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was found in 1933 and is one of the most ancient traditional Chinese medicine hospital in contemporary Chinese history. This hospital is known as one of the best traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Guangdong Province. Currently, it has 9 branches which are respectively located in Dade Road, Ersha Dao, Fangcun, Zhuhai City, Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, Pazhou (Guangzhou United Family Hospital), Xiatang, Tianhe District and Shijin.

03 Guangzhou First People’s Hospital

Founded in 1956, Foshan Hospital of TCM is a large modern III-A Grade hospital of traditional Chinese medicine with the integration of medicine, teaching, research, rehabilitation, health preservation and elderly care. It is famous both at home and abroad for its traditional Chinese orthopedics. It is the online hospital of International Emergency Relief Centers, the first hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in China to join China Trauma Treatment Alliance and becomes a national trauma treatment center. It is also the affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Southern Medical University (indirectly affiliated), and the teaching hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Prof. Walther, who is the Medical Director of Schön Klinik München Harlaching and Medical Director of FIFA Medical Center, will perform foot and ankle surgery in Foshan Hospital of TCM with Prof. Hailin Xu from Peking University People’s Hospital and Prof. Yongzhan Zhu from Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of Foshan Hospital of TCM.

06 Dongguan People’s Hospital

Dongguan People’s Hospital was founded in late Qing dynasty in 1888. It was formerly known as “ Chinese Christian Rheinish Dongguan Puji Hospital” which was founded by German Christian Rheinish and it is one of the earliest Western Medicine Hospital in China. So far it has spanned three centuries and has gone through 128 years of history. During those days, the hospital was built with red walls and green tiles in a western style, which was praised as "red building hospital" by the local people and people are still calling it today.

07 Jiangmen Central Hospital

Situated at the beautiful land of Guangdong Province, the coast of the South China Sea, alongside the Xijiang River, Jiangmen Central Hospital (also known as Affiliated Jiangmen Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University), was built in 1912. Formerly it was run by the United Church of Canada and known as Yan Chai Hospital. In November, 1951, The People’s Government took in charge of this hospital and after several change of its name, it finally remains its official name as Jiangmen Central Hospital since 1986. It was rated as III-A Grade hospital in 1993 and with the devotion of several generations, it has developed into a III-A Grade hospital with the integration of medical care, research, teaching, health preservation and rehabilitation.

08 Jiangmen People’s Hospital

Jiangmen People’s Hospital was founded in 1946, which is formerly known as“the Fourth Hospital of Guangdong Province”. After 71 years’ development, it has become a III-A Grade General Hospital with integration of medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. It also is the Affiliated Jiangmen Hospital of Southern Medical University and one of the “Hundred Civilized Hospitals” in Guangdong Province.
