The previous article in our public account has announced that bone tumor expert Prof. Hans Dürr will work as a visiting professor of Foshan TCM Hospital in mid-September, right before SEOS 2019.
Following SEOS 2019, there will be another distinguished international joint expert coming to the First People's Hospital of Foshan to have a five-day academic exchange.
Built in 1881, the First People's Hospital of Foshan has the history of over one hundred years and experienced changes in its name and site during this time. It has developed into a distinctive and modern hospital with integration of medicine, teaching and medical research from a simple and crude church clinic in the past hundred year. When looking back, the achievements the First People's Hospital of Foshan has made in the past were outstanding. The First People's Hospital of Foshan will maintain its belief of curing and caring patients persistently despite the obstacles in the future.
The First People's Hospital of Foshan, having a history of 138 years, was founded by a English missionary doctor named Ren Yun. In the first place this hospital was composed of a medical school and a nurse training class.It sent a quarter of its doctors to have further study in the Western countries, which makes it one of the first incubators to foster doctors with western medical skills. It set precedent for allowing female nurses to take care of male patients and introducing the western hospital managing system into China.
The First People's Hospital of Foshan has the tradition of having academic exchange with western hospitals for over a hundred year.
Now in September, the First People's Hospital of Foshan will continue its academic exchange.
He is a joint specialist, professional in hip and knee reconstruction and revision surgery and minimal invasive surgery in orthopedics and traumatology.
He is the President Elect of the Congress of German Orthopedic and Trauma Society (DKOU) ever since 2018.
Meanwhile, he is the teaching professor in University of Hamburg, Orthopedic Professor of Marlborough University as well as a emeritus professor of Kassel University.
He is the editor in Chief of the German Orthopedic Journal OUP
