The Third International Knee Day (IKD3) was held successfully on March 10 to March 11, 2022 in Berlin, Germany. This non-stop 26 hours global live-streaming started at 21:30 in March 10th (UTC+8), among which Chinese session was held between 15:00 and 16:30 in March 11(UTC+8). Hot topics related to Joint Surgery development such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Sensors, Biologicals, Digital Interconnection, Mobile Applications, Digital Medicine were discussed on the event. The event was featured with 102 renowned experts from 26 countries globally including 15 doctors from 6 Grade Three A hospitals in China, giving their lectures in English and performed live surgeries. Invited by German Knee Society (DKG), Henan Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital, Zhengzhou Orthopedics Hospital, Henan No.3 Provincial People’s Hospital, Guiyang Orthopedics Hospital, Hubei 672 Orthopaedics Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Shenzhen People’s Hospital were honored to be the sub-venues of the IKD3. And this event attracted an audience of 300,000 from 96 countries globally.
Prof. Peterson, the President of IKD3 expressed his thankfulness to the collaborative societies in the opening ceremony, namely German speaking Gesellschaft fur Arthoskopie und Gelenkchirurgie, the Australian Knee society, the Argentine Arthroscopy Association, the Arthoschool from Turkey, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Germany Surgery Society, the Egyptian Arthroscopy Society, Gloryren from China, the Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatic Sports Medicine, the Indian Arthroscopy Society, the Indonesian Sports Medicine Association, the Japanese Orthopedic Association, the Japanese Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, the South African Knee Society, the South African Orthopaedic Association, and the Brazilian Knee Society, and finally SLARD, the South American Arthroscopy society.

This non-stop 26 hours live-streaming focuses on the future of Knee Surgery. Since the International Knee Day has been in the last two years, Prof. Wolf Peterson and his team inspired a concept of establishing the International Knee Academy. And this provides every colleague around the world with a possibility to grab a basic and advanced course in the field of Knee Surgery, With this format, every colleague can pursue international experts from all over the world.
