A Preview of the Summit - A Grand Gathering of Noble Orthopedic Experts
The first session of Sino-Euro International Orthopedics Summit will be held in Canton, which is co-sponsored by Gloryren Co.Ltd. and Foshan Hospital of TCM
Co-assisted by Eurospine, German Spinal Society, European Society for Sports Medicine, German Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery and North American Spine Society.
Each participants and lecturers will be issued with a customized version of the EU participation certificate, which is printed with the name of the participating doctors, and signed by the Chairman of the summit, the President of the European region of the branch, and by the president of the Chinese region, making it invaluable.
To ensure that everyone attending the conference will be able to acquire the lectures to the greatest extent, simultaneous interpretation will be carried out throughout the conference, including all the speeches delivered by foreign experts will also have subtitles and simultaneous translation. Foot and Ankle Surgery Session
The purpose of this conference is to promote the development of ankle surgery and trauma in China, and to strengthen the exchange and interaction between domestic scholars and international co-sponsors.
We had invited famous experts both at home and abroad to give a particular report on the latest development of new methods and technologies in ankle surgery at this academic conference.
Prof. Markus Walther, Medical Director of harlaching Orthopaedic Hospital in Munich and FIFA medical center of excellence, was invited to serve as the President of the European region of the conference. Jiang Baoguo, President of the People's Hospital of Peking University, Director of the Medical Department--Orthopaedic Department of Peking University, Director of the Trauma Medical Center of Peking University and President of China Trauma Treatment Alliance, was invited to serve as the president of China. There are topics on flatfoot, hallux valgus, knee arthritis, chronic instability of ankle joint, trauma, etc. for participants of different professional directions to focus on and efficiently learn and communicate in various forms, such as speeches and lectures, case discussion, free speech, etc. Focusing on the latest research results, we endeavor to strive for domestically and internationally courses for clinical and scientific research.

Chairman of the Foot And Ankle Surgery-European Session
He has been the Director of Foot and Ankle Department of Schön Klinik München Harlaching since 2005, then has been the Medical Director of Schön Klinik München Harlaching and Medical Director of FIFA Medical Center Munich since 2012.
Currently, he is primarily focusing on
his scientific work mainly focuses on biomechanics of the foot and ankle, traumatology, reconstruction of foot and ankle, and minimally invasive surgery, particularly on sports injuries and cartilage repair. Meanwhile, he provides consulting services for a number of athletes. Being a orthopedics professor at
the University of Würzburg, Germany,he was nominated as one of Germany's leading experts of foot and ankle.
Chief Scientist of National 973 Programs, present President of Peking University People’s Hospital, Director of Orthopedics of Peking University Health Science Center, Director of Traumatology Center, Peking University, and Chairman of Chinese Trauma Care League.
His main areas of research are peripheral nerve injury and repair, standardization treatment for severe trauma and periarticular fractures.

As for the bone tumor session, we have the honor to invite Prof. Stefano Boriani, IRCCS Istituto Orthopedico Galeazzi, Milan
to be the Europe Region president at the academic summit, and we also invited Wei Guo, Director of Bone Tumor Department (Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas Center of Peking University) of Peking University People’s Hospital, to be the China Region President.

Attending Surgeon at Rizzoli from 1978 to 1988, Senior Surgeon till 1996. he was then Responsible of sub-unit of Oncologic Spine Surgery in the Department of Bone Tumor Surgery directed by prof. Mario Campanacci. Head of the Department of Spine Surgery at Istituto Santa Corona di Pietra Ligure (SV) from April 22nd to September 21st 1996, Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology Ospedale Maggiore
in Bologna from September 1996 to September 5th, 2009.Since September 6th , 2009，served as the Head of the Department of Oncologic and Degenerative Spine Surgery at Rizzoli Institute in Bologna. In 2018, Director of Spinal Teaching Program and Head of Spine Tumor Surgery of the GSpine4 Spine Surgery Division IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi. Milan(I).
Major contributions to the following topics and being widely recognized:
1. The original staging systems for primary tumors, well known as
WBB presented in 1996 and now applied by most spine oncologic
surgeons
2. A great number of homogeneous series of spine tumor cases
carefully studied and published on peer-reviewed journals
3. Original techniques of spine tumor resections and reconstruction
Prof. Stefano boriani was invited as a visiting professor by numerous hospitals for mutiple times, including hospitals in Beijing and Hangzhou.

Wei Guo
Director of Bone Tumor Department (Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas Center of Peking University) of Peking University People’s Hospital.
From 1996 to 1998, he went to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA for further study in bone tumor. From 1998 to 2002, he was the Deputy Director of Bone Tumor Department, Director of Bone Tumor Research Institute, Chief Surgeon and Professor of Peking University People’s Hospital. Since 2002, he has served as the Director of Bone Tumor Department and director of Bone Tumor Lab of Peking University People’s Hospital.
